Watching Live Streams

Jul 26, 2021 | Admin

With the next set of concerts in the Against The World +  Concert Series just around the corner, we are very focused on how to make your experience as good as possible. We know fans are watching in a wide variety of ways, but we don’t always know what those ways are and that information might help us and or In.Live improve your viewing and listening experience.

Thank you for helping us and sharing your answers.

I found it was way more stable if I closed the chat box and didn’t connect it to my Tv, if I just used my iPhone and watched it without the chat once it started. I didn’t have any issues with the last two concerts streaming

I just use what works best at the time. I have tried up to 5 different devices (I always log off before switching, don't worry) and stuck with the one that worked best.

I open it on my iPhone12 and cast it to the living room big screen/sound system. Chat box doesn’t work worth a darn that way, but the watching experience is good. I’ll have to watch the August stream from work, so I’ll watch on my phone with headphones while charting. Hopefully it works well.

I’ve mostly been using my laptop and streaming it to my TV, and I’ve had zero issues!

To add to my survey answers, I’ve been mostly watching from a big screen TV with an Xbox, but once In.Live was the platform (which generally has been running much more smoothly than previously used ones!), the Xbox browser couldn’t pull up the in.Live site (according to my much more tech savvy husband). That may be due to a setting on our end somewhere, not sure though. Desktop worked well (though I missed my couch, lol).

I have also found that my Bluetooth speaker/headphones might effect the stream. I don't know if it's a coincidence when I turn it off but I have found that that can also be a factor when streaming.

My laptop works pretty well but sometimes my android using chrome works better. I have found it incredibly choppy though if I try to cast it to my LG tv from my phone (galaxy s20). Hope that helps!

I have only watched with my tablet and never really messed with the chats. Haven't had any issues really. But now that I can connect my tablet to my TV, ill be watching it that way

So ready to watch these shows. Underneath is still one of my favorite albums by you guys

Thank you for asking and trying to find the best avenue for us all to enjoy. Feels like streaming is here to stay (which I love) and I'm happy to see effort going into making it better.

Depends on the day, what I have going on, who else might be using which devices, and what device offers the best connection with the platform being used.

Adding that normally we try to stream on one device with my daughter's account and we have the chat going under my account on another device if it's through hnet.

I've tried watching on cellphones, laptop, and TV, even casting with chrome cast to tv. also listen on bluetooth speakers, home stereo, headphone, all working very well. just a little glitch when the screen froze, I have to refresh it to make the stream started again and it usually took a few minutes, might lost half of a song.

wish i could see the stream bigger & hear it louder than the confines of my tiny iPhone (no tech skills here)-   hoping that a family member will help me with this, someday!  Thank You for asking and always trying to make the streaming experience amazing!

I too have discovered it is much more stable when closing chat box as well it doesn't bother me much cause I would rather pay attention to the stream rather than the chat but thank you guys for being so willing to try to may the streams better for everyone you guys are amazing

I’m not very techy. It doesn’t seem to matter what device. I’ve used, TV, iPad, Android phone and computer. Sometimes it’s good with the odd loss of connection. Other times just can’t connect at all. Last two concerts I didn’t even try live and watched perfectly the next day. I do love the live experience but the frustration of not being able to connect at 2 am in the morning, having stayed up, is just too much after so many previous problems.. Don’t blame you guys at all. You’ve tried so hard to make this around the world streaming work for us.

In August I’m visiting a friend and we are aiming to watch live. Any tips appreciated 😀🎼❤️

I tend to watch each stream concert twice due to time zone difference, first alone and  live on my laptop and headphones when it's nighttime here, and the following evening via Chrome Cast on our TV and home stereo with my husband. Both have worked quite seamlessly most of the time, but the audio tends to be best on the headphones, on the laptop (Chrome and Bose QC 35 ii). Sometimes the restreaming has via Chromecast has more delay or or choppiness than the livestream.

Stream on Chrome, cast to the TV and 99% issue-free. It was a little bit more glitchy for TTA stream versus MON stream.

I have tried watching various different ways, including screen sharing from my iPhone and through my Xbox, and found the last time on my laptop connected to my tv via HDMI worked the best.  I did not have any glitches last time and the sound was great.

Thank you for attempting to improve the live-stream experience for all of us. 👍🏻😊

Thank you for asking!

Survey was completed. I always watch on my laptop and using Firefox. Sometimes it can be a little glitchy, but overall I never experienced issues.

Thank you for asking.   As someone who cannot "drop everything" to travel to shows - I am thrilled to watch them LIVE via LIVESTREAM!   I stream with the FireStick through my 46 inch flatscreen TV.  My husband has a hook up for the sound to go through our home stereo system which is a huge boost to the sound of the show.   Other then MON - InLive was a better stream experience.    No - don't use the chat box on my tv when I am watching your concerts - I like my "big picture".  I use my tablet/cell through FB or IM to "be with my fanson friends" during the show for any chatting.

Yes, some glitches here and there - this could be our tv, our internet or a host of other issues, but overall - I am happy with my livestream experiences.

Thank you for all you do and I appreciate you reaching out to us for our take on the livestreams!
